The Triple Gold Club ceremony was attended by IIHF president Rene Fasel, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman, and Soviet Hockey Hall of Famer Vladislav Tretiak. Incredibly, all 22 players attended. They were honoured in ten groups based according to when they achieved TGC status:
Olympics ( Sweden)—Tomas Jonsson, Mats Naslund, Hakan Loob
Stanley Cup (Colorado Avalanche)—Valeri Kamensky, Alexei Gusarov, Peter Forsberg
Stanley Cup (Detroit Red Wings)—Vyacheslav Fetisov, Igor Larionov
Stanley Cup (New Jersey Devils)—Alexander Mogilny, Vladimir Malakhov
Olympics (Canada)—Rob Blake, Joe Sakic, Brendan Shanahan
World Championship ( Canada)—Scott Niedermayer
World Championship ( Czech Republic)—Jaromir Jagr, Jiri Slegr
Olympics ( Sweden)—Nicklas Lidstrom, Fredrik Modin
Stanley Cup (Anaheim Ducks)—Chris Pronger
Stanley Cup (Detroit Red Wings)—Niklas Kronwall, Henrik Zetterberg, Mikael Samuelsson
Olympics ( Canada)—Eric Staal, Mike Babcock (coach)
On February 25, 2010, when Canada won the Olympic gold in Vancouver, two names were added to the list. Eric Staal became the 23rd TGC member while head coach Mike Babcock became the first coach to win all three honours (having won the Stanley Cup in 2008 with the Detroit Red Wings and the World Championship in 2004).
